IOT solution impressed event organizer and attendees at the conference in Washington D.C.

For the first time organizer CompTia decided to use a seamless attendee tracking solution provided by ID.Conference on a 3 day ChannelCon 2018 conference that was held between 31. July and 2. August in Washington D.C..

ID.Conference has developed unique RFID stands that track attendees accreditations (equipped with RFID antennas) in real - time.

Conference lectures were held in several halls and each hall had an RFID stand for seamless tracking of RFID acreditattion in front of the entrance. Accreditations were detected and automatically stored in the cloud. By analyzing recorded data an organizer could get an in-depth insight into the activity of conference.

Attendees were members of the leading CompTIA Global Technology Association. The ChannelCon technology conference attracted 1630 attendees from various technology companies all around the world.

Before the event, each attendee had to fill a registration form with basic data such as name, company, title and possible custom fields which organizer had desired. At any moment it was possible to know how many and what kind of participant profile were in a certain hall in real time. Based on the data, organizer could predict attendee behaviour and improve all future conferences.

Here are some examples on how to use event analytics:

Example 1: If we know that higher number of attendees have been in a hall listening to topic X with a lecturer of Y expertise. Base on this data we can update topic X and invite more speakers with expertise from Y next year.

Example 2: If we know more attendees were in lecture rooms in certain time, we can schedule best topics on these hours.

Example 3: Did participants from particular industries listen to their profession related topics or were they more interested in lectures that were not necessarily related to their profession?

There are many more ways to process data – it mainly depends on the interest of the organizers.

According to the organizer, they were very satisfied with the solution of ID.Conference and will certainly use it on the next conferences. The solution can be modified to the organizer specifications.
